"...sophisticated, classic, elegant..."

It's no secret that all shades of purple seems to be all the rage in fashion right now. I'm seeing Fall/Winter 2008 catalogs and press releases touting all shades of purple ranging from soft, powdery lavenders to deep, rich royal purples.

Purple, once reserved for royalty, takes center stage for fall dressing. It's a rich, strong hue that will look good accessorized with black, green, or yellow. You'll also find purple in dark floral prints this fall.

If a purple dress is too much purple for you, try a purple blouse paired with a black skirt or pants. If that's still too much, you can add a touch of purple to your fall wardrobe with a purple purse.

Simple & Minimal

Pick a simple minimal dress in a subdued color, or combine a jacket with little or no collar & detailing with soft wide-leg trousers, or a pencil skirt.
Colors are more subdued, this look may be streamlined, but it's very elegant. Stick to quality fabrics, and accessorize with simple boots or pumps. Patterned tights have a little more sparkle this season as well.

Geometry Lesson

Shapes continue to be a lesson in geometry: triangle, hourglass, bell sleeves. Designers have continued to redefine classic looks, while adding a healthy dose of originality to silhouettes.
Geometric shapes can apply to any part of your wardrobe, and we're particularly fond of trapeze right now.
